Hello and Happy New Year, I am developing an AUv3 MIDI processor plugin (kAudioUnitType_MIDIProcessor - ‘aumi') and it seems that GarageBand iOS is not able to see it at all, at least on the devices that I tried (iPad 5, iPhone 6s).
Setting its type to Music Device (kAudioUnitType_MusicDevice - ‘aumu’) seems to make the plugin visible to GarageBand, although I feel that this is not the right type since the plugin does not produce any audio whatsoever. Moreover, even when GarageBand recognises and loads the plugin, I cannot get the underlying AudioUnit’s render block to run, no matter what GarageBand’s transport state is. The plugin runs fine on other hosts such as AUM and AudioBus but not on GarageBand iOS. Are there any extra steps that I need to do in order to make my plugin visible to GarageBand iOS? With Best Wishes, Achillefs _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list. They will be ignored.
