follow-up to my earlier post...
In my Zope Basic Settings for my coreblog, I had put my domain name as the Blog
URL. Problem is, that URL is one provided by a redirection service. My server
actually has another permanent domain name, and it is this real domain name that
I needed to use.
As for getting a new skin to try out, here' how to do it. Create a new skin
according to the how-to. Give it a new name, say variant1. Then in the variant1
folder, select style_css, and you'll see a form with stylesheet tags and
commands. Next, visit one of the 'existences', i.e. sites using coreblog, and
in your web browser, select View As Source. Find the name of the css file the
creator is using and type this into your browser's location line. Default name
is: http:somesite.com/style_css. Save the page to your desktop, then in the
style_css form, use the Upload feature to insert the copied stylesheet. Note
that at the top of the form you'll have to manually insert the following line
which is missing:
<dtml-call "RESPONSE.setHeader('Content-Type','text/css')">
Save your settings, then, back in Zope's management page, click on your weblog's
main folder, choose the Skins tab from the top of the page, and in the drop-down
list on the right side, select your new skin. Refresh your weblog webpage, and
voil!
