1. By the 'Recent Entries' side bar.
2. At the bottom of the entry where it says, 'Posted by xxx at hh:mm ...',
'hh:mm' is a link to the specific entry only.
My approach towards permanent links is that I don't try to fight/coerce the
blogware to do what I think is broken or missing; instead, I create new,
static non-blog pages which link to specific blog entries. E.g., see
http://sandbox.rulemaker.net/ngps/freebsd
Almost all links on that page point to my blog entries. While the
blogware's 'FreeBSD' category contains blog entries in serial order [*]
this particular page allows me to present my entries in any manner I want.
* In fact no entry at all because COREBlog only allows one "main" category
per entry and all my FreeBSD-related entries belong to other categories.
Another approach that I've mentioned on this list is to "weave" a blog
category into other static content; see
http://sandbox.rulemaker.net/ngps/m2
The bottom of that page displays the 10 most recent blog entries for my
subject-specific category.
I'm running COREBlog v0.something plus local customisations. Because of my
customisations (and mod_rewrite magic to make the blog my front page while
preserving the original static content structure), upgrading the blogware
is not straightforward and I have done it not once.
I am continually on the lookout for a "blog building blocks kit" containing
reusable components which can be used with other "static" content, like
what I've been doing with COREBlog on an ad hoc basis.
Cheers.
