-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi fellow COREBlog users!
A short while ago we discussed trackback spam in here. Myself I get very few legitimate trackbacks, and too much trackback spam (even if it's less than what some people get). COREBlog is incredible great software. It already includes code that checks the trackback originator for a link to our own blog - this is discussed in some places as a measure against trackback spam. One big blogging platform has a plugin for this. See, COREBlog is already at the top of the development :-) To enable this, one checks the "Moderate No-Reference Trackback" option in the "Comment,Trackback" settings. This will turn on moderation for such trackbacks that have no reference to "our" blog. This still means that I get trackback notification mails and I will have to delete the trackbacks from the blog (even though they never show). I don't like that, so I patched my COREBlog to reject those trackbacks right away. The patch is changing only one line.
