Mostly I wanted to give Corey a chance to actually try some code which
should work in theory.
The new code lists quite a few copyright holders and I believe most of
them don't have any code in that file. I hope to revisit that problem in
due time.
That XIP stuff needs a good explanation anyway. We may want to have it
cover the boot block only or the bootblock and initram. Either way,
reading the whole ROM to cache it may be less than useful and a severe
performance killer early on.
