A bit off-topic, but I figured some people on this list may have experience in this subject. I'm looking for a permissive license akin to BSD that applies well to hardware projects (ie focuses more on patents than copyrights) and is commercial-friendly so anyone can manufacture and sell the original design as well as derivatives.
