There are a number of chinese websites offering cheap SOIC clips, the most
widely known is probably Alibaba/Aliexpress:
http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=&SearchText=SOIC+clip

These are certainly much cheaper than the expensive ones available in the
"west" - though I don't know if the quality is adequate.
Should you order some it would probably be interesting to give feedback on
that.

I don't see the need to explicitly promote a specific website on coreboots
web presence as these are easy enough to find, and even the Pomona clips
aren't that expensive anymore.
