[coreboot] What is Intel Corporation Device 0103? (thinkpad x220)

On an x220 it is pci device 00:04.0 "Signal Processing Controller" from 
what I can gather it is something to do with thermal control - but I am 
curious as to why it doesn't have an actual name in lspci.
