[coreboot] Why a size of MPTABLE is limited by 600 bytes? Where this number comes from?

Some boards, including my AMD Lenovo G505S laptop, have a MPTABLE size
which is slightly larger than 600, and I'm seeing the lines like

Skipping MPTABLE copy due to large size (628 bytes)

at the coreboot logs. Do you think MPTABLE size could be bumped to
i.e. 700 bytes, or there's some internal limitation which prevents
from doing this?
