OK there should be nothing holding the release as far as I'm concerned. tr fixes done. I did multicore sort testing and I'm happier it's OK. I'm still a bit worried we're being a bit aggressive by using spinlocks and threads = num CPUs, but it's not too bad and we can performance tweak later if needed. join multibyte is done, but needs to match sort, and I'm not comfortable rushing multibyte sort changes in. Will do for next release. split --number required more extensive changes which I may get around to this weekend, but no need to hold up the release for it. cheers, Pádraig.
