Hello, according to the man page: "In contrast, chmod ignores symbolic links encountered during recursive directory traversals". Is there any reason for this? I've done a bit of mailing list archaeology and found this [1] thread with patch. I might try to rewrite the patch for current version and add some tests if there is no reason that would discourage from having this functionality.
