I meant "radical" in a value-neutral sense, not implying bad faith on his part. He himself admitted that his initial proposal would be a major change and that others might respond negatively to it. I'm well aware that this may be a controversial proposal. But I think most readers will understand *why* I am proposing this, and that while this is a dramatic approach, we are now in an era where POSIX systems are routinely used to manage important information worldwide. -- vq
