*Job Description: *** A qualified candidate will have 5+ years experience in the design, development and support of database applications hosted in a Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 environment. Relevant experience includes hands-on involvement with database design, coding of complex business logic within stored procedures, user defined functions and database triggers, creation of database views, database performance tuning and database application optimization. Past projects completed by a qualified candidate must exhibit a high level of creativity and problem-solving. This position will primarily support existing systems and implement enhancements according to new business requirements. *Responsibilities:*** • Ensure that production systems are always available, troubleshooting production problems and fixing defects as prioritized by management • Maintain and enhance existing product capabilities • Provide after hours support • Write stored procedures and user defined functions to implement complex business logic • Create database triggers to maintain referential integrity and enforce business rules • Create database views to hide system complexities and simplify data access • Work under the direction of project and technical leads to implement solutions to support complex business requirements • Perform database tuning and optimization to ensure optimal system performance • Write detailed technical specifications and as-built documents • Adhere to departmental application development procedures and standards *Skills Profile:* SQL Server 2005, Transact–SQL, XML, XSLT *EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:*** • 5+ years database design and development experience • Experience with Transact-SQL to write custom stored procedures, functions and queries, in order implement complex business logic • SQL 2005 Reporting Services, Report Designer and Model building a plus • DTS, Integration Services a plus • Experience with .NET C# a plus • Oracle PL/SQL a plus • SQL Server CLR a plus • SQL Server Replication a plus For immediate consideration forward your updated resume and rate requirement making sure to reference position no. 114210 Top 3 technical skills needed to succeed in the position? 1.
