*Our client is looking a PowerBuilder* *Job Title: PowerBuilder consultant* *Location Location Chicago, IL* *Duration : 6+months* *Rate:50/hr Max* Primary focus is to provide development services to the application implementation, integration and support teams. Immediate need to document the legacy integration process of an existing system and make changes to streamline the process and improve reliability. Analysis, design, and development of new and existing applications including interfaces between multiple systems. Perform unit, integration, and performance testing. Participate in design reviews. Responsible for following/implementing all SDLC/PLM processes. Transform functional specifications/requirements into technical specifications. Provide time estimates and create detailed documentation for support reference and future development. Provide level 3 support displaying ownership in resolving complex systems issues while consulting other IT groups, as needed. Provide technical analysis and design expertise to improve business processes and/or reduce costs. Work with analysts to create detailed test cases. Skill Sets *- Visual Basic 6, PowerBuilder 6.5, Java, Web Services, SQL.* *- Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, Strong documentation skills, Strong ability to collaborate and coordinate within all areas of IT.* *- Solid understanding of information systems and the software development process.
