Must be a EXPERT in Cisco Wireless Technologies. Position Title: Network Engineer Location: Memphis, TN Rate: $45/HR MAX Duration: 6 Months + (Could go perm) Position Purpose: This position will design, implement, and support guest Internet access network infrastructure in all of the Hilton family hotels. Responsibilities include network design projects that identify, assess, and develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing hotel networks as well as re-architecting network segments in order to improve performance, facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth. Additionally, the engineer must be able to optimize traffic flow and provide Tier 3 support. The ideal candidate must be able to quickly solve complex problems related to network connectivity and performance and be able to mentor associate network engineers and the Network Operations Center (NOC) staff. There is a heavy emphasis on wireless technology, so the candidate must have previous wireless experience. This position will be required to work different shifts and weekends. (EXAMPLE OF DUTIES) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Average Percent of Time 30 % Design/develop solutions 15 % Implementation 40 % Support 15 % Mentor ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS This position reports directly to the Sr. Mgr. of Network Engineering, but will be given direction by a lead engineer. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
