*Websphere Portal Architect:-* **** Work location: Lisle, IL * **** 4 Months (with possible extension) * 100% Define and implement software architecture for upgraded Websphere 6.1 Enterprise Portal. Define Architecture and Design/Develop WEB 2.0 enabled Portlets/features for Enterprise Portal. Lead a team of developers providing hands on design/development support as needed. Contribute Technical deliverables towards final phase of Pursuit. *** Specialized/Practical Knowledge: Experienced Websphere Portal Architect Expert: Migration projects involving Websphere Portal (Version 5.1 to 6.1 will be ideal) Hands on experience architecting portal solutions using Websphere Portal Server including Capacity planning, Deployment architecture, personalization, security, content devlivery architecture, integration. Optimization techniques and performance tuning Portlets & Web-Application Frameworks (Portlet Factory, JSF, Struts) WebServices (Design, Development & Deployment) Hands on experience designing and developing Portal componnets including JSF & Portlet Factory based Portlets, supporting frameworks. Hands on experience in defining & developing resusable services in compliance with Service Orientation principles. Design and Implementtion of Web 2 features in a WebSphere Portal environment. J2EE Architecture and design principles UML Deep understanding and experience of Portal ecosystem including SSO, IAM, Content Management, Collaboration etc. Excellent Analytical Skills are a must have. Ability to study existing architectures, identify bottlenecks and propose solutions. Good Communication (written & verbal) Skills Ability to Author Architecture & Design documents and Interpret Logical & Physical Architecture documents. *** Interaction: Interaction with Senior Clinet management, funcitonal leaders, other technical teams & peers .
