Position: Oracle Developer
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 8+ Months

Performs systems analysis to evaluate applications and/or systems considering
customer requirements, changes in systems requirements, software releases,
equipment configurations, and relationships/dependencies between systems (e.g.,
analyzing federal and state regulations regarding automation, researching
technical solutions, and performing needs assessments).
Development and maintenance of application databases to extract, cleanse,
transform, load and maintain Portal data.
Produce ad-hoc queries and develop reports to support business needs.
Unit testing of developed solutions.
Write and update personal computer application programs.
Documents the design and system specifications. Prepares charts, diagrams,
tables, and flowcharts for illustration.
Evaluates and recommends action on testing and certification of
software/hardware upgrades.
Monitor the performance of systems, subsystems, and software applications.
Analyzes and assists in defining agency disaster recovery responsibilities and
procedures.
Conducts orientations, training, coaching and/or cross training to multiple
staff/team members regarding highly complex technical topics (e.g., elements of
the project life-cycle, application development languages, operating
systems/platforms, system integration, and business area knowledge). Provides
feedback evaluations of project team members including strengths and areas for
improvement.
Minimum Requirements:

Experience in the Information Technology industry.
5+
Experience with full SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) involvement
from analysis and planning to development and deployment.
5+
Experience coding languages and environments including but not limited to
SQL, PL/SQL, functions, packages, stored procedures.
4+
Experience in database optimization, performance tuning.
4+
Development experience with designing database components for specific
application requirements. Experience maintaining and enhancing existing design
for requirements change.

Knowledge of Oracle tools including but not limited to Erwin diagram, data
loading service, etc.

Knowledge of best practices in the areas of application design,
performance, scalability and maintainability.
2+
Working and developing applications on the J2EE application development
platform for enterprise class projects.
