Senior Level - at least 6 years experience in the specified skill set

ETL Programmer
TECHNOLOGY PIPELINE SOLUTIONS

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work with the TPS team within Monsanto to
maintain enterprise-level Java/Oracle applications.  The candidate will work
as part of a team comprised of a project manager, business analysts, and
other members of the technical staff to use OOAD techniques to develop
multi-tier applications to support sequencing and analysis efforts.

Specific responsibilities will include:
Work with several Scientific Business Analysts to understand requirements.
Design and develop sustainable database instances to support those
requirements, create technical design documents that map source to target,
define transformation rules, and develop ETL code between systems in
conjunction with other team members.
Responsible for ensuring integration with the data warehouse.

Required Skills:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
The candidate must possess the following technical experience:
Minimum requirements include at least 5 years of full time experience as a
Data architect/analyst in a scientific or technical environment.
Experience in software development using Oracle and XML.
Experience at database modeling, design, and ETL programming.
Database tuning abilities.
A demonstrated ability to learn and acquire new technologies as needed as
well as a willingness to do collaborative software development is
necessary.

Desired Skills:
Minimum 5 years experience with Oracle and 3 years experience using SQL.
Experience with Object-Oriented methodologies, and Test First Development.
Agile Programming.
Experience using Kettle open source tool or Informatica
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are highly desired.
