Job Title : Database Migration Location : RELEIGH, NC Length : 4 months * * *Description*: Our Client is seeking a short term (approx. 672 hrs) consultant to provide database management services. *SCOPE OF WORK*: This resource will work with various managers to upgrade approximately 30 existing 6.5, 2000, & 2003 MS SQL databases to MS SQL 2008. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: *REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:* • Experience migrating older MS SQL databases to MS SQL 2008 is a must, • Excellent documentation skills, • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, • Thorough understanding of database structures and design, • Excellent oral and written communication skills, • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple concurrent assignments, • Ability to understand and interpret business and technical requirements, • Project management skills to effectively manage the efforts activities and deliverables involved with the migration of each of the estimated 30 systems. Other Evaluation Criteria: 1. Hourly Rate Years of experience and proof of successfully migrating 6.5, 2000 & 2003 MS SQL databases to MS SLQ 2008. Project Management experience managing efforts, activities and deliverables associated with the migration of databases. Presentation and content of the resume in and of itself.
