Please respond to [email protected] Position: Oracle Financials Application DBA Location: Eagan, MN Duration: 10 months We have a new Oracle Financials Application DBA position in Eagan, MN (US Citizens or EAD/Green card's only) Must possess the following skills: Communication - expert oral and written communication skills. The candidate will have the ability to leverage skills and abilities to explain technical issues to all members including customers, team members and management. Financials experience including AP, AR, FA, GL Minimum 6 years Oracle Financials and DBA experience Must have the following technical experience: Oracle Applications versions 11i Release 10, Oracle Database /9i/10g, SQL*Forms, SQL*PLUS, PL/SQL, SQR???, ORACLE*Report, UNIX shell scripts, TOAD Overall responsibility for the Oracle Financials DataBase Administration including the coordination of the following: ü Good understanding of Oracle Application Foundation (Application Object Library) ü Provide coaching and mentorship on Oracle Financials Application and database administration to USPS Oracle Financial team members and the DBSS database administrators ü Coordinate all Oracle Financials and other related application database requests, follow through on requests, disaster recovery testing, SOX compatibility and basic support and maintenance of the application database environments ü Track all Oracle Financials requests providing weekly status and issues tracking to Oracle Financials management team ü Take on coordination and responsibility for the completion of the following DBSS function. Oracle Application Oversight for installation, upgrades, patches, TAR support, database tuning, concurrent manager administration, cloning and Oracle Apps SYSADMIN functions. Database creation, database tuning/reorganization, SQL statement tuning, backup/recovery, general troubleshooting, fire fighting, developer/integrator relations, script development, documentation and DBA training. ü Work with the DBSS team to provide quarterly data base capacity and maintenance reports including the analysis and recommendation for maintenance and planning. ü Possess and continue to grow Oracle Financials expertise via online web sites, training, local user groups and vendor contacts. ü Track and report on completed deliverables and milestones. ü Evaluate the current Oracle Applications Database and make recommendation for maintenance and clean up activity.
