Dear Partners:- Please find the requirements currently open. *Senior Linux System Administrator* Location: Basking Ridge, NJ Rate: Open Our client is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join a new product team. This is an exciting opportunity for creative individuals who want to combine the environment of a startup with the resources and stability of an established company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of systems administration for servers, networks, applications, databases, and telecommunications. This position includes implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, and monitoring of the R&D systems and infrastructure. The System Administrator provides coverage for technical support, and provides advanced troubleshooting for hardware, software, voice, data and server systems. The successful candidate will have deep technical knowledge of Linux (Red Hat / CentOS), VMware, and network technologies including DNS, subnets, VLANs, SMTP, DHCP, firewalls, proxy servers, and network monitoring. Required Skills and Experience * Minimum 7 years minimum experience in System Administration * Experience implementing New Infrastructure Projects in accordance with customer requirements and deadlines * In depth technical knowledge of server virtualization and its benefits is required to be successful in this position * Experience working in Cloud computing environments * Must have experience with Open Source applications * Experience in providing smooth transition and "hand-over" of Projects to Day-to-Day Operations Staff after implementation * Experience in performing physical Asset Audits and verifies systems baseline information * Experience using and managing source control systems * Experience with scripting languages including Python, Perl, and Shell. * Must exhibit strong customer service skills * Experience using and configuring Internet services like DNS, HTTP, SMTP, IMAP, NFS, and NIS+. * Proven ability to operate and develop in Solaris, Linux, and Windows environments. * Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Servers (networking and storage) * Familiarity with databases and web programming languages and automation * Experience with High Availability and failover scenarios, load balanced environments * Strong working knowledge of storage environments (SAN, NAS) * Experience in designing Disaster Recovery strategies * Excellent communication skills including written and spoken English as well as the ability to present complex technical and behavioral topics to diverse groups during conference calls and large meetings. * Demonstrate a proven ability to manage multiple high priority tasks with competing priorities. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented. Proactively address issues, be a self starter. * Excellent debugging and trouble-shooting skills, as well as strong analytical and problem solving * Knowledge of general Software Engineering life cycle development methodologies. * Outstanding problem solving skills, including the ability to look for non-standard problem solutions, this is key to this position. Education * Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Engineering is required. * Masters Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Engineering is preferred.
