Mainframe background (MUST HAVE HANDS ON PROGRAMMING IN THE FOLLOWING: - COBOL (Batch) - COBOL (CICS command level) - Mainframe Assembler - ADABAS - McAuto System development software - Group 1 Code 1, Mail stream, Duplicate Elimination - Search Software America SSA NAME 3 - BAR coding technology Candidate must have considerable experience with: --Managing projects --Working with end users to rollout new systems. --Ensuring that individual development team members complete assigned tasks correctly and on time. --Resolving technical and functional issues --Preparing project work plans --Open items/issue tracking and resolution reporting Required Skills and Deliverables: Minimum Qualifications: . At least eight years experience managing comparable projects and performing the activities described above. . Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. . At least two years of experience working with end users to rollout new systems. . Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university. Project Manager Responsibilities: . Coordinate the systems development effort of this project. . Work with Agency staff to ensure that all requirements are accurately recorded and achieved. . Ensure that individual development team members complete assigned tasks correctly and on time. . Resolve all technical and functional issues regarding this project, with input from OATH/ECB's IT staff. Project Management Deliverables: A series of deliverables must be provided on an ongoing basis as a function of project management. They are the following: . A project work plan, updated weekly, detailing hours burned, task completion progress, and time to completion estimates; . Weekly project status reports; . Open items/issue tracking and resolution reports; . Project status meetings, along with meeting minutes. Candidates shall possess a high level of aptitude and competence in project management, with a strong mainframe background and experience in managing complex, high profile projects. Specifically, candidates shall have professional project management experience in a mainframe environment, preferably with systems as described in the "Introduction" above. The OATH/ECB project team will carefully screen resumes. Those with a minimum of eight years experience in the areas listed above will be called for an interview. Agency technical and managerial staff will conduct the interviews, which will have duration of not more than one hour, to determine the actual qualifications of each selected candidate. A candidate must demonstrate good oral and writing communication skills as well as technical expertise at the interview to be considered for a position.
