In the framework of three research projects - one funded by EC on the
detection of multimodal information on anti-vax and anti-immigrant
movements, and two funded by Spain on disinformation and hate speech,
and on fairness and transparency in NLP (FairTransNLP-Stereotypes) -
Santa will bring to the Pattern Recognition and Human Language Technology
Research Center (PHRLT) at the Universitat Politècnica de València,
two postdoc and one 3-year PhD positions.
We invite applications for joint pre- and post-doctoral positions in
Natural Language Processing and Social Media Studies.
Qualification requirements:
In order to be considered for the postdoc positions, applicants should have
a PhD within Natural Language Processing or Digital Humanities with a
particular
focus on Natural Language Processing. For the PhD position, applicants should
have preferably a M.Sc. in computer science or related discipline.
The following qualifications are required:
- Knowledge in Natural Language Processing SOTA models (especially for
the postdoc positions)
- Experience with working with textual data, preferably from social media
- A positive, curiosity-driven attitude
- Enthusiasm and commitment!

- Two first 18-month postdoc contracts with potential for continuity /
one 3-year PhD contract
