Board, nice to e-meet you! We are X23 Science in Society, a spin-off from X23
Innovation Bakery™, which is a research centre based in Italy. We have a
long-record of working with migrant-entrepreneurs, using linguistic tools. We
are honoured to be the organiser of the 18th Nooj Conference!

The 18th NooJ Conference will be held in Bergamo, Italy, from the 4th-7th of

As some of you might have already attended in the past edition, the Nooj
Conference is a great occasion for the scholars and researchers to discuss
topics using NooJ, a versatile linguistic software for corpus processing,
offering seamless integration with NLP applications. For this edition, we are
excited to announce that the Call for Papers is officially opened, we sincerely
invite you to participate in this.
The topics of the call for paper:
📚NLP Societal applications and citizen science: Computational Socio-Linguistic
(migration, geography, tourism, political discourse, cinema, social media,
gender studies…
🗣️Linguistic Resources: Typography, Spelling, Syllabification, Phonemic and
Prosodic Transcription, Morphology, Lexical Analysis, Local Syntax, Structural
Syntax, Transformational Analysis, Paraphrase Generation, Semantic Annotations,
Semantic Analysis.
🧠Digital Humanities: Corpus Linguistics, Discourse Analysis, Sentiment
analysis, Literature Studies, Second-Language Teaching, Narrative content
analysis, Corpus processing for the Social Sciences
💻Natural Language Processing Applications: Business Intelligence, Text Mining,
Text Generation. Language Teaching Software, Automatic Paraphrasing, Machine
Translation, etc.
The following are essential guidelines to follow during the submission process.
Abstracts for submission must be in English and include the author(s)' title,
name, institution, and email. They should not exceed one page in length
(between 300 and 600 words, excluding references) and should be submitted via
Easy Chair. Additionally, all papers must be original and cannot be
concurrently presented at another journal or conference.
Here are Important Dates:
* Deadline of Abstract submission: Feb 4 2024
* Notification of accept: March 10 2024
* Camera ready: March 24 2024
* Early bird registrations: From March 11 to March 31 2024
* Deadline for the other registrations: April 15 2024
* 18th Nooj Conference: June 4 to June 7 2024
* Selected papers submission: Sept 15 2024
