Dans le cadre de la campagne d’évaluation ImageCLEF 2026 (associée à la conférence CLEF 2026), nous présentons la troisième édition de la tâche ToPicto . Lab ImageCLEF2026 - [ https://www.imageclef.org/ | https://www.imageclef.org/ ] (The CLEF Cross Language Image Retrieval Track) fait partie de la 17ᵉ édition de CLEF 2026 ( [ https://clef2026.clef-initiative.eu/ | https://clef2026.clef-initiative.eu/ ] ) et est organisé du 21 au 24 septembre 2026 à Jena en Allemagne. L'objectif de ToPicto est de réunir la communauté scientifique (linguistes, informaticiens, traducteurs, etc.) afin de développer de nouvelles méthodes de traduction permettant de convertir en une séquence de pictogrammes, soit un discours oral, soit un texte. Nous proposons en fait deux tâches distinctes : - Text-to-Picto , tâche qui permet, à partir d'un texte en anglais, la génération automatique de segments constitués de termes textuels en anglais déjà alignés avec des pictogrammes connus (pictogrammes ARASAAC — [ https://arasaac.org/ | https://arasaac.org/ ] ). Ce défi peut être vu comme un problème de traduction, où la langue source serait l’anglais et la langue cible un “anglais pictogrammé”. - Next-pictogram prediction , tâche qui permet de prédire le pictogramme suivant le plus probable après une séquence donnée. The aim of ToPicto is to bring together the scientific community (linguists, computer scientists, translators, etc.) to develop new translation methods for converting either spoken language or text language into a sequence of pictograms. We are proposing two distinct tasks: - Text-to-Picto , a task that allows the automatic generation of segments consisting of English text terms already aligned with known pictograms (ARASAAC pictograms — [ https://arasaac.org/ | https://arasaac.org/ ] ) from an English text. This challenge can be seen as a translation problem, where the source language would be English and the target language would be “pictogrammed English.” - Next-pictogram prediction , a task that predicts the most likely next pictogram after a given sequence.
