Dear colleagues, The Center for Digital Text Scholarship (DigiTS) <https://digits.ut.ee/> at the University of Tartu is looking for a full-time doctoral researcher to work on linguistic annotation with large language models.
* Research topic: Linguistic Annotation with LLMs * Supervisor: Prof. Maciej Eder (University of Tartu; Polish Academy of Sciences) * Position: Junior Research Fellow (full-time) * Duration: Four years, starting in autumn 2026 * Application period: 15-30 September 2026 * Requirements: A master’s degree or equivalent qualification and proficiency in English The project will use a series of experiments to investigate how effectively different types of LLMs can perform linguistic annotation tasks, evaluated against human-annotated gold-standard datasets, particularly in scenarios for which the models were not optimized.
