Requirements: BS in Computer Science or related IT area Must have 8 solid years of IT experience without an IT degree or 5 years of solid IT experience with an IT BS degree The Oracle DBA should have experience with the installation, configuration, management, and tuning of Oracle Database Products. Should also have experience with SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, DML, Oracle 10.203, Windows 2000 Advanced Server, and Solaris 2.8. The Oracle DBA should have good oral and written communication skills. OCP certification is a plus. Install and configure Oracle Software (i.e. Database and supporting applications). Provide maintenance for Oracle installations. Provide physical database designs for projects. Provide detailed documentation about database designs when required. Tune Oracle software for optimal performance. Provide a detailed backup and recovery solution and implementation. Setup and manage database connectivity. Design, implement, and document detailed security policies. Provide support to developers during development. Design and implement stored procedures and triggers when required. Map design specification and system requirements to a physical data model.
