We have urgent requirement for Release/Build Engineer with our client. This is a very technical role, with great responsibility and accountability for the definition, preparation and execution of build automation and release processes that allow CLIENT'S products to reach internal and external customers effectively and efficiently. *Job Focus* Build Automation development, Configuration Management, Release management Continuous build integration, Change management Working with development to increase their productivity *Job Responsibilities* · Setup Build and Release mechanism for different product lines · Setup and maintain build machines, automate and monitor daily project development and nightly builds · Automate deployment of builds on development and test servers · Integrate packaging scripts and test automation scripts with build and monitor build verification test status · Drive the resolution of failures, troubleshooting issues with builds and compiler tools · Administration and trainings of tools like Perforce, Install Shield · Developing and generating build summary reports to leadership team · Setup process and maintain the archive of software releases (internal and external) · Setup and maintain third-party libraries, including license management *Job Requirements* · 7+ years of related experience · Strong Unix (Linux and Solaris) and Windows OS experience required · Strong scripting experience in shell, Perl or Python fluency a plus · Experience in SCM tools (e.g. Perforce) for managing, labeling, branching and collapsing source code · 3+ years of InstallShield development and deep understanding of Microsoft MSI technology · Recent experience with Windows technology such as: Working knowledge of configuring IIS (creating virtual directory, application pool, etc*) and/or Windows scripting or PowerShell · Experience with process automation using scripting languages · BS, MS, in Computer Science or related discipline · Strong experience in configuration management tool · Solid experience in build development & distribution approaches in distributed / onshore offshore development environment · Must have demonstrated experience to handle builds / releases for fairly large product in the past and should be able to ramp up on the product Architecture and Deployments in reasonable time · Should be able to work closely with different project teams to understand their requirements and should be able to drive build development relatively independently. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem solving skills. · Strong self starter with track record of success.
