Hello, We have an urgent requirement for very senior ETL DataStage Developer with our client.
Location: MN Duration: 6 months Data Warehouse Development Consultant to provide expert-level development in IBM DataStage Enterprise Edition (PX). Must have excellent written and oral communication and extensive documentation experience. Candidate will mentor other developers on best practices and process design. A typical day will be split between Production Support and Project work. Project work will consist of developing (and consulting on) DataStage, SQL, back-end tools and scripts using Perl, Shell-Scripts, C, etc. Development activities will include preparing and delivering design documents, development, unit testing, code peer-review and deployment. *Position Description:* All developers participates in Production Support of our Data Warehouse. This includes investigating data issues, troubleshooting issues with the UNIX environments and communicating with our internal customers. As part of a support effort, staff is asked to contribute innovative solutions and will be involved with implementing the solution/fix. There is an 8-week rotating on-call schedule for after-hours support. However, any high-impact issue may require everyone�s availability outside normal working hours. Positions in this function use advanced statistical and inferential analysis programs to provide specialized data analysis. Organizes, sorts and filters data in order to distinguish patterns and recognize trends. Develops and maintains data preparation and validation routines to support data mining and has experience in creating complex data mining algorithms. Selects, recommends and applies appropriate analytic and statistical methodologies and techniques to execute against an analysis plan or research objectives. Evaluates new analytics tools and methodologies for possible deployment. Creates data warehouses/marts and/or develops data mining analyses to support business decisions.
