The need is for an infrastructure tester, not an application tester: 6 Months + Boston area, MA 40/hr max rate The right candidate will be part of the QA organization developing and execution of test cases and infrastructure in support of the Connected Backup product line. This individual must be able to ramp up quickly to understand the automation development methodology and tools being used, and additionally should also be able to learn the key elements of the connected product for implementation of automation. While the candidate must be a strong team player, they must also have the ability to be a self starter and independent worker as necessary. The expectation is for the candidate to be highly productive and able to take on tasks such as establishing test environments, development and review of test cases, test execution, issue reporting/investigation/follow-up., and delivering a well designed and tested automation tool and test cases. Ideal candidate will have the exposure to network and IT security concepts, as well as experience in a system and networked test environment. VM knowledge a plus. · Experience with client/server configurations · Knowledge of product testing related to IT security elements · Familiar with Windows workstations, Windows servers and Macintosh (or *ix). · Familiar with traditional troubleshooting and debug skills · Able to execute and contribute to automated test cases using existing frameworks · 5 or more years in the industry. The skills we need include: 1) Windows knowledge. 2) Mac is a plus 3) SQL server is a must 4) HP Quality Center 5) Outlook and Lotus Notes knowledge is a plus This is a manual tester position.
