JOB TITLE : Oracle Developer

We are looking for an experienced Oracle developer. The candidate should have
very good knowledge in PL/SQL, SQL and Oracle database development including
stored procedures, database triggers and database packages. The candidate must
have more than 5+ years of development experience in Oracle forms and reports.
The candidate should have good UNIX experience. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills are required for this position.
Duties and responsibilities
Design, program, develop, analyze and implement database applications and
database objects.
Write or update code documentation, implementation instructions and integration
tests for applications. Produce technical documentation in accordance with SDLC
guidelines.
Communicate with both technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis to
pass along important information and to ensure the design and implements are
understood by all parties.
Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and improve existing database applications and
database objects
Develop Oracle forms and reports
Develop database procedures and packages
Develop UNIX shell scripts.
Optimize the existing jobs using SQL/PLSQL tuning methodologies.
Required skills
BS or MS in Computer science or related area
At least 5 years of experience with Oracle forms and reports
At least 5 years of experience with Oracle database, SQL/Pl-SQL
Solid background with UNIX system. Should be very comfortable in writing shell
scripts.
Knowledge of .Net, Informatica, PERL, or Java will be a big plus
Familiarity with XML and web services is good to have but not mandatory
Some knowledge of the brokerage industry is a must for this position
Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Solid analytical and communicational skills
Good documentation and writing skills
