*Requirement – 1* *Solution Architect* PASADENA, CA 6 Months *Need candidates to work on our W2- (GC/Citizens only)* The Solution Architect reports to the Manager of Solution Architecture - Pharmacy BIO, and is responsible for implementing the technical engineering strategy, creating technical roadmaps, system blueprints and supporting engineering efforts of development. This includes engineering design and of all facets of technology to be utilized and implemented by the Pharmacy BIO. The role is a key contributor in executing engineering plans and coordinating Pharmacy Business Information Office wide solution development. This role requires working throughout all levels of the organization, and working closely with the prime vendor's engineering team, business sponsors, business subject matter experts and Information Technology, to ensure that high business value solutions are planned and executed. *Job Responsibilities:* • Creates all aspects of information systems blueprints for various Pharmacy systems including business, functional, security, solution, data, and information. • Conducts the evaluation of new and existing applications. • Participates and or leads system migration/transition strategy and plan/roadmap development. • Oversees product management activities over the infrastructure and collaboration blueprints and the related services they provide the Rx BIO. • Collaborates with Enterprise Architecture for pharmacy product and technical standards development and implementation. • Perform technical assessments and impact and gap analysis related to system and solution architectures • Designs complex enterprise application integration strategies and tactical plans for the pharmacy solution • Creates engineering blueprint aspects of projects within the BIO, including compliance structures, metrics and processes. • Champions the adoption of BPM (Business Process Management), Object-Oriented Methodology, SOA and Web Services • Participates with other peers to establish change, implement strategic plans and objectives. • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. • Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. • Acts as a visionary and strategist related to pharmacy and surround solution areas. • Develops and executes the solution strategy and business plan to support the growth of the solution offering • Survey landscape and market for solution insights, direction, vendors and methodologies. • Provide creative solutions in solving technology problems • Provides subject matter expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software architecture and design documentation. • Ensures the quality development of internal and external, client-oriented documentation, evolving into recommended workable solutions to the organization. • Conducts and leads solution design and architectural reviews to conform to well-defined and well-balanced architectural metrics. *Basic Qualifications:* • Designing, Developing and implementing enterprise technology solutions strategies throughout Fortune 500 health and managed care companies • 7 or more years of progressively responsible experience within information management departments • Knowledge and experience in technology blueprints and large volume enterprise solutions • Hands on experience in creating engineering blueprints for enterprise systems using 4+1 Architecture modeling • Extensive knowledge in crafting business and functional architectures • At least 5 years experience in designing and implementing large pharmacy management systems • Working knowledge of system integration or enterprise application integration products such as IBM Web sphere, MQ Series, etc *Preferred Qualifications:* • Experience and knowledge of current trends and best practices within the architecture domain • Ability to educate, communicate and present effectively with business and IT stakeholders to gain consensus on reporting requirements • Ability to translate business needs into business requirements and functional and technical architectures • Experience in providing technical leadership to vendors and project team members • Have a through working knowledge of agile development methodologies, specifically scrum. • 3 or more years experience leading teams of 3 to 5 people in the area of technical engineering • Manage hosting and infrastructure vendors to procure, design and implement the physical infrastructure • Must be able to work independently and have strong communication, writing and presentation skills • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills • Ability to create strategic plans and translate that strategy into a multi-year roadmap • Ability to energize and direct project team to exceed customer expectations • Show an appropriate sense of urgency and power to influence a diverse group of stakeholders • Knowledge of Health Care and/or Pharmacy • Highly desirable is consulting experience in a globally recognized organization with an emphasis in delivering complex enterprise-level integrated solutions in the healthcare industry. • Experience in management of large, complex, cross organizational IT and/or Health Care Projects • Experience and familiarity with software development life cycle processes and methodologies, business process management methodologies, computing technology alternatives analysis, and design and development of solutions for complex initiatives • Deep technical skills across several enterprise technologies • Knowledge spanning multiple software, hardware, and computing platforms (web, client/server, mobile, thin client, etc) *Additional Information * 10 years or so of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE/Web design and implementation. Must be familiar with technical specifics and answer in-depth technical questions related to Java/J2EE/Web technologies.
