Position Title: Storage Administrator - Sr.
Duration: 6 Months - Not project based - could go on for years. Location: Jacksonville FL Residency Status: US Citizen, EAD, Green Card, H1-B. General Position Description: Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, access, and backup for enterprise wide systems. Technologies supported include operating systems, servers, networks, system security, hardware and other software applications. Troubleshoot system issues, resolve or recommend solutions. Create and manage system documentation, including configurations and backup procedures. Create patches and updates as needed. Participate in the definition and implementation of system components including new servers, hardware, software and upgrades. Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot operating systems. Must possess solid knowledge of operating systems and networking hardware and software. 6+ years of experience functioning in a Systems Administrator capacity is required. Provide oncall support and disaster recovery planning/support as required. General knowledge of network media and protocols, Storage Area Networking for tape and disk. (High) Unix, Windows: Familiarity with AIX, Solaris, Red Hat Linux, and Windows Server: Perform basic system administration with emphasis on TCP/IP networking and file system maintenance. (Med) Mainframe: z/OS management of storage systems including SMS and non-SMS DASD, HSM, STK VSM, HSM ABARS. Understanding of mainframe catalog structure and recovery. (Medium) EMC Symmetrix, EMC Clariion, EMC Centera, EMC Celerra storage arrays. (High) NetBackup, Falconstor VTL and SIR. (Med) IBM z-series: z9, FICON, VTS. (Med) McData\Brocade directors and switches. (Med) Knowledge of relational database principles. (Med) Understand the concepts of interpretive and compiled languages. Able to write simple programs in at least one scripting language. (Med) Familiarity with some of the following: Veritas Netbackup, EMC PowerPath, EMC Navisphere, EMC SRDF/BCV, DNS, NFS, Oracle DBMS/RAC, Oracle ASM. ISPF, SDSF, DFSMS, DFHSM, DFDSS, ABARS, CA/VANTAGE, CA/ALLOCATE, PPRC, EXHPDM, CA1, HSC.
