Middleware Engineer Location : Washington DC Rate : $65 c2c or $60 W2 Responsibilities and Duties: Primary Responsibilities Shell Scripting (Unix) 15% WAS 5.1 to 6.1 versions Administration 50% JACL or Jython scripting 15% JAVA/XML programming 10% AIX 5.3 10% General duties. WebSphere on UNIX system, preferably AIX. WebSphere 6 and earlier. Unix/AIX Programming in Jython or JACL. Administering WAS from command prompt using wsadmin. Programming in Java and Python. Need to know JVM tuning. Familiar with Java Data Objects. Use Eclipse or RAD or any other IDE to define XML documents and to define XML schema. Need to know XML parsing, using Perl or Java or Python XML- SAX2 library. Familiar with WebSphere MQ is a plus. Experience: 10 - 15 Years Desired Level of Efficiency/Other Experience Comments: 13 years overall experience including: J2EE - 5yrs Sys Admin 10 Yrs Websphere AIX Websphere 6 and earlier - 10 Yrs Unix AIX 5 yrs Messaging/Groupware 2yrs XML 3 Yrs Programming in Python or JACL 2 Yrs Education: Bachelors Desired Training/Certifications/Other Education Comments: Computer Science or Computer Mathmatics Unique Skills: - Candidate must meet security clearance requirements for Customs and Border Protection. - U.S. Citizenship is required. - CBP requires that for the three (3) years prior to the filing of an application for employment, individuals must meet the one or more of the following primary residence criteria: (a) the applicant resided in the United States (short trips abroad, such as vacations, will not necessarily disqualify an applicant); or (b) the applicant worked for the U.S. Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or military capacity; or (c) the applicant was a dependent of a U.S. Federal or military employee serving overseas.
