Bethesda MD Data Warehousing, 5-9 years of Experience ETL - extract transform load, 5-9 years of Experience ROLE: Sr. Business Intelligence Developer REQUIRED SKILLS: • Familiarity with Data Warehouse concepts including Star Schema or ER Modeling. • 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining programs in Informatica Power Center. Hands on experience with Informatica Power Center 7.0 and above. • 5+ rears of experience in the development and maintenance of SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions and triggers. • Understand underlying data models and design/develop scripts. • 4+ years of UNIX knowledge required. Advanced shell-scripting and CRON knowledge a plus • 5+ rears of experience in the development and maintenance of reports using any one BI tool (Business Objects/Cognos/ Microstrategy). Business Objects a plus. • Understanding of security in the Business Objects reports • Knowledge of DB2 environment a plus • Strong oral and written communication skills • Desire and ability to quickly learn the client’s business processes • Must have completed or have experience on at least one application development lifecycle. PREFERRED SKILLS: Knowledge of system analysis and project management is a plus RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for maintenance and enhancement of Informatica Mappings, Work-flows, Stored Procedures and processes for all Business areas of the Data Warehouse. • Responsible for developing Mappings, Workflows, and processes in the Informatica/Oracle/UNIX environment • Responsible for tuning Informatica processes • Responsible for analyzing and understanding the new requirements and follow the EPLC standards to implement the requested changes • Responsible for updating the ETL design documentation, Source-to-Target spreadsheets, and Software design Specifications for all Business Areas. • Responsible for unit and integration testing. • Responsible for schedule and status reporting • Responsible for creating Universes, Reports, Dashboard KPI’s and adhoc reports using Business Objects • Responsible for analyzing and understanding the Change Control Board requests and come up with an implementation strategy.
