Rate :market Duration : 6 months + Location: San Jose CA PayPal Tools & Environments Quality Engineer This is a position for a technical white-box test engineer for internal-facing (i.e., used by developers and testers) tools and applications testing, initially as part of a project to migrate engineers from Clear Quest to Jira. Automation and API-level testing skills are required. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will partner with Software Developers, Quality Engineers, and other key technologists to: • Write data-driven, white box/APIs and UI test automation scripts • Design and modify test frameworks as required • Maintain and write new automated test scripts using various in-house tools • Be the quality champion for an Engineering Environments team • Analyze requirements, create test plans, and perform code reviews • Execute tests and isolate problems • Identify project risks and recommend process improvements • Lead projects independently and provide technical supervision to other quality engineers Job Requirements; • Programming experience in Java, C++, Perl, or Python with hands-on experience for one year is desirable • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience writing test cases using Java, JUnit or other automated test tools • Experience with white-box or gray-box testing is desirable • Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC) and agile development • Solid working knowledge of web applications • Must be team-oriented, able to deal with conflict, handle ambiguity, and be a self-learner • Ability to apply critical thinking to solve problems • Good written and verbal communication skills Basic Qualification; • BSEE, CS or other relevant technical degree required. 3+ years professional related experience • One to three years experience testing complex projects from test planning through deployment is desirable • Experience with ClearCase and Jira a plus *Kindly provide the following details for quick process:* * Full Name: Contact: Email: Current Location ( City & State ): Visa Status: Availability:* ** If you have any questions please feel free to call me.
