 REQUIREMENTS:
We actually have 5 open positions that we are working on for our client, so
if you know anyone else, please let me know.  Four of the 5 positions
require an expertise in PeopleSoft GL (functional).  The fifth position
requires a blend of Peoplesoft A/P and G/L and is a bit more junior.
Consulting position for approx 6 months involving  3 sequential projects to
implement or update existing PeopleSoft General ledger functionality.  The
projects will be small full cycle projects including requirements
gathering, design/prototyping, test scripting /testing, issue resolution
and elevation to production. The individual will be the primary team member
on the project and the existing  GL team will provide support.   The
position will also require the ability to perform as a “Team Lead” for
these projects.  This position will require the ability to work closely
with the company’s end user accounting staff and PeopleSoft technical
support staff for requirements through to implementation. Additionally the
role will require the ability to resolve both business process and
application issues through the coordination of accounting and technical
resources.
Ideally the individual will possess the following skills set,
• Extensive functional  experience  with the PeopleSoft General Ledger
application (v 8.4 or higher)  specifically with  inter / intra unit
journal line template functionality, journal entry Edit combination
functions, Revaluation and Translation functionality
• Experience self managing a small full cycle project which will include
some of the following tasks
o Creating Test scripts for a Peoplesoft (ERP) GL application
o Ability to perform the testing within PeopleSoft
o Ability to research and resolve issues
o Understanding the journal data flow at a PeopleSoft table level and the
ability to use queries to access this data ( for testing purposes
o Ability to self management project work,
o Ability to develop work plans with the necessary tasks, milestones and
status points,
• Understanding and developing Business Processes for functional changes
resulting from the project (i.e. on-going maintenance, etc)
