*Job Description: *
Experience in Installation Database Administration, Development, Data
Migration, Business Requirements Analysis, Capacity Planning, Database and
Application design in Linux and Windows environment.
Hands on experience in database backup, recovery, performance monitoring,
tuning, problem identification and resolution, security and disaster
recovery planning.
Experience in setting up highly available and scalable IBM DB2 10.1
PureScale environments. Experince in data migration from Oracle to IBM DB2.
Working knowledge on running utilities and third party tools to run
database reorgs, indexing etc. Good working knowledge on physical and
logical designing, performance monitoring, maintenance, query analysis,
optimization, backup, recovery, replication and migration.
Experience in setting up monitoring tools on the database and tables and
send automated alerts.
Experience in running stress testing/ performance testing of the databases.
Coordinate with IBM/Oracle on the issues/Fix Packs/Patches Experience in
setting up disaster recovery strategies with HADR Hands on knowledge on
data recovery, data replication on DB2
Prferred Skills: IBM DB2 10.X (Pure Scale), Erwin Data Modeler, DB2 Control
Center, UNIX Shell Scripting, Oracle, SQL Server
Responsibilities: Analyze/Provide/Modify data models. Install, Configure
and Manage IBM DB2 in high available clustered environment.
Work closely with the application development team and run the data
creation and data loads.
Provide access controlled security to the required teams.
Perform Data Migrations. Set up alerts. Run reports periodically to check
the database health.
Manage multiple database environments.
Expected Deliverables: Capacity Plan. Environment Configuration Details.
Database versions and the current patch levels.
Database Access Control list. Installation and Configuration Manuals.
Database scheduler and alerts details.
Database Backup and Recovery procedures.
