If you enjoy working closely with a team of Business Analysts, Developers and DBAs, then this job is for you! In this role you will be working on a number of projects: Cash re-write, which supports the Bank application and Cash data migration. The Cash area is an integral piece of the Federal Reserve Bank system. Data Modeler will be working with a team of Business Analysts, developers and DBAs. Highlights of Responsibilities: · Analyze and develop complex logical database designs, logical data models, and relational data definitions in support of Cash requirements · Use your experience and knowledge in system integration techniques, data governance, data quality, and agile modeling techniques and data warehouse modeling, including dimensional modeling · Be a direct report to a lead Data Architect with cross district teams supporting an agile development team · Use Federal Reserve System (FRS) defined best practices, provide guidance to other data modelers in the development environment, and perform enforcement of database modeling standards and guidelines · Present models for review to technical and business teams for feedback and approval on a scheduled basis. Qualifications: · 5+ years experience in OLTP modeling projects · Strong/intermediate technical skills in Oracle database environments running Unix / Linux / AIX · Demonstrated experience: o As a Oracle DBA with expertise in Physical Architecture of Oracle 11g o SQL Server DBA with expertise in SQL Server 2005 and 2008 R2 · Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of star schema/dimensional modeling and data warehouse methodology · Strong experience with Erwin and ER/Studio or other data modeling software · Strong experience conducting data modeling sessions with business users · Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and strong analytical skills are essential.
