*Senior Developer (OneShield Dragon)*
*Toronto, ON (Canada)*
*Long Term Contract*
*Job Description:*
· Works on a large portfolio of applications.
· Provides application design and documentation that spans multiple
applications and/or functions.
· Participates, and may lead, on complex projects with significant
impact on IT and / or business.
· Mentors less experienced team members.
· Prioritizes own work regarding the development, coding, testing,
and debugging of new software or enhancements to existing software.
· Works with technical staff and business to understand problems
with software and assist to resolve them.
*Required:*
· 8-10 years in software development. (from Java background)
· Minimum 3-5 years in Oneshield development and configurations.
· Deep knowledge Dragon tool (which is used to OneShield
configurations)
· Extensive experience in coordination and managing offshore teams.
· Interacting with Business and IT, Understanding the Oneshield
development needs and coordination with Offshore
· Certified in OneShield Dragon Designer
· Exposure to broad technical skills such as Object Oriented
design, development and test skills with proven patterns knowledge and
exceptional documentation skills
· Experience in a modern programming language (Java or PL/SQL
preferred)
· Demonstrated experience with enterprise class relational
databases, Oracle, SQL Server, Etc.
· Expertise with multi-tier web applications
· Knowledge of the insurance industry or prior implementation
experience on an insurance related project
· Exposure to OneShield Dragon, Guidewire, Duck Creek, StoneRiver,
or similar system
*Required Skills: *
· Consistently applies fundamental knowledge of programming
languages for design specifications.
· Applied in-depth knowledge of one or more programming languages.
· Substantive knowledge of coding, testing and debugging.
· Proven ability to apply programming languages to develop
solutions to business needs.
· Competent to work in all phases of applications programming and
design.
