*Job Description: *
Responsible for design, develop agent software to be developed on Cumulus
OS switching software to deliver convergence solution. This stateless
software application is responsible for managing individual hardware
elements in a physical rack to simplify operation aspect managing network
infrastructure. Development/delivery may be accomplished as lead engineer
or as a contributor on a larger team. Responsibilities will include
designing and implementation in C++. Will also work with cross-functional
teams to ensure products meet functionality, and reliability requirements
of the solution. Must be able to carry out complex tasks with a minimum of
guidance and be comfortable providing detailed guidance to others.
*Responsibilities include:*
- Leading development & delivery of software for convergence solution
for data centers to simply design/deployment rack solutions.
- Design and develop switch plugin to communicate with cumulus switch
software.
- Develops, integrates and implements related applications components,
server-side development and database integration.
- Preparation of technical product documentation used internally and
externally
- Must be able to drive problem-solving strategies for complex issues
that involve cross-functional disciplines
- Ability to work with vendor partners and other teams.
*Qualifications*
ยท Minimum of 7 years of software development.
*Required skills:*
- Extensive experience writing modern C++/Java code with OO design.
- Working experience of developing embedded software in Linux OS with
multicore multithread exposure.
- Good understanding of networking and protocols such as TCP/IP.
- Prior working experience in web services (specifically Jetty), REST
and/or XML- and/or JSON-based APIs
- Understanding of SSH and Switch CLI.
- Some Experience with Python and shell scripting.
- Desirable to possess skills in VmWare virtualization environment for
development, Cumulus Networking OS.
- Development in Virtualization experience is a huge plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Minimum Education*: BSEE, BSCS, or BSCE required, MSEE, MSCS or MCSE
preferred
