*Job Description*
Release DBA service catalog will encompass the following:
- Join with the Release Management and Application Development teams in
planning and scheduling release activities
- Handle releases from all organizations supported by the Release
Management team
- Perform release related backups, refreshes and other database support
tasks
- Deploy schema (DDL) changes, packages, stored procedures, functions
and other DML changes to QA, UAT and production environments
- Perform post-release verification and validation
- Participate in post-release issue identification, resolution/rollback
and root cause analysis
- Backup and refresh development as well as controlled database
environments
- Manage passwords for multiple application service accounts
- Maintain knowledgebase
- *Maintain Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Sybase database knowledge to
cover the spread of application technologies*
The Release DBA service catalog will not include access management and
provisioning
