*Job Title:* Microsoft BI Support Consultant *Location: *Carmel, IN *Start Date:* ASAP *End Date:* 12/30/2016 Job Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with BI team and customers to understand requirements and design/deliver solutions (data conversion/migration) to deliver specified requirements, according to schedule and in alignment with design and development standards Communicate with end users and BI team status of efforts, deployments, etc Monitor loads and scheduled jobs to ensure they complete successfully and communicate issues to the BI team and end users when issues arise Assist in maintaining architecture of the BI data environment, its design, performance, availability, and success Share/define best practices and implementation plans, focused on area of ETL development Participate in software development activities that will deliver high-performing BI solutions that align and support business processes for the Allegion business Ensure data quality through development and testing best practices Provide support for BI applications, tools, and platforms Adhere to the processes, standards and tools to enable system integration development and support. Create and deliver knowledge transfer / training and documentation for project and other support team members Assist internal Business Intelligence User Group Community, driving adoption of BI solutions and ensuring Allegion’s Business Intelligence users have updated training on how to get the most value from the MS BI solution(s) Troubleshoot BI performance problems and work with BI team, database team, and infrastructure for tuning Skills and Experience Requirements: Over all 9+ Years of expertise 3+ years expertise in Microsoft BI Technology stack including, but not limited to, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft SSIS / SSAS / SSRS, and Microsoft Excel 3+ years expertise collaborating with end-users/customers to drive requirements 5+ years experience with SQL and DW Experience working in an IT Support Role Experience with C#, SQL Procedures Experience working with Oracle and SQL Server databases Experience working with SharePoint, Excel, PowerPivot, PowerView, etc. (architectures, tabular models, functions, and features) Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of data warehouse fundamentals Demonstrated understanding of database design, data models, and architecture Demonstrated understanding of SSAS modeling including multidimensional and tabular techniques Demonstrated business process modeling and requirements definition Strong understanding of relational data structures, theories, principles and practices. Proven experience developing within a data infrastructure with structured management of master data, metadata, data quality, data governance, data structure, data architecture, and data security. Advanced development capabilities in SQL Server 2008, 2012, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
