Apache/Tomcat hosting environment Good Analytical & Communication skills Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components Contributes in the design and development of a new Major Expenses Web-based Approval system for receiving new and revised programs or projects from Major Expenditure Forecasting System and routes them for approval. This is a critical application for corporate forecasting, planning, funds management and approval process. *Primary Responsibilities: * Analyzes, defines and documents design of a three-tier web application, including backend processes / web services and front end screen workflow with the business and team architects. Writes new programs of moderate complexity and scope for this new Major Expenses Web-based Approval system, utilizing BNY Mellon's standard development methodology, procedures and techniques. Assist with interface to the backend Application Server design, utilizing the API, ensuring the interface is consistent with standard approach, and that the security mediations are within acceptable standards. Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and revise programs. May lead/coordinate work within a project team offshore. Conduct reviews of the Test Plan and Test Data of others on the team. Ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved. Has thorough knowledge of the Agile methodology for Software Development.
