*Visa Copy & ID Copy MUST for submission* *Role: **Sr. SQL Server Database Administrator * *Location: Philadelphia, PA* *Duration: 6+ Months * Responsible for physical databases on specific database technologies; designs and implements back-up, recovery, archiving and conversion strategies. Also responsible for the performance, availability, integrity, and disaster recovery of all databases and database systems. Job Responsibilities Maintains data in all production and non-production databases and replication servers. Manages database distribution, security, and access requirements. Designs and develops logical and physical layers of various databases. Handles testing, reporting, back-up and restores. Provides technical assistance and mentoring for staff for developing conceptual and logical database design and the physical database. Utilizes logical model to ensure efficient and reliable database performance. Complies with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at the Company. Establishes and builds strong working relations and partnerships with Business Units and Senior Management. Enforce IT database standards, guidelines and operational policies and procedures Perform database software patches and upgrades. Performs special projects and other duties as may be assigned. Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) preferred. Bachelor's degree required. *Experience * 7+ years database administrator experience with MS SQL Server. Some experience with other DBMS systems: Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Mongo *Competencies * Knowledge of organizational politics and political tactics; ability to effectively navigate formal and informal communication and decision-making channels. Knowledge, insight, and understanding of business concepts and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
