*Role: DW Developer* *Location: SFO, CA* *Duration: 6+ Months* The Senior Data Warehouse Developer (Global Talent Organization) will be responsible for system design, implementation, documentation and administration of all components that make up the talent data warehouse infrastructure, applications and related tools. This candidate will collaborate with clients to plan and define requirements, then work with the implementation team to design, develop, test, deploy and maintain a high-performance talentdata warehouse environment that aligns with the corporate technology stack. This candidate should have the ability to manage multiple work efforts in a dynamic, cross-functional environment while leading and motivating team members toward achieving departmental and company goals. Responsibilities: Develop the overall data warehouse design (conceptual, logical, and physical representations) Rapidly prototype and prove solutions using relational and OLAP databases Assess and document existing data warehousing, ETL, and BI strategies in order to recommend best approaches and solutions to stakeholders and decision makers Work directly with our business analysts and functional users to perform detailed data analysis to develop the model for the data warehouse and datamarts Define data architectures for OLAP systems and large-scale enterprise DW solutions Transform and populate data into a warehouse table structure in order to optimize reporting Identify and implement technologies for ongoing database scalability, monitoring and performance improvement Monitor technology trends in BI and data management adapting and implementing best practices Provide technical leadership for establishing and maintaining solid, flexible data warehouse solutions Required Qualifications: 9+ years of experience with database / data warehouse development and architecture 5+ years of experience in IT with strong analytical and dimensional modeling background 5+ years of hands-on logical and physical database design *Experience with Terradata highly preferred*, coupled with either Oracle and/or Postgres Advanced SQL skills (querying, designing schemas) 4+ years of experience with Pentaho or Informatica Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment Exceptional communication and presentation skills Experience working on projects with cross-functional, technical and non-technical team Familiarity with integrating XML/JSON data sources/streams into DW or transactional data stores. Experience in performance tuning and optimization in Pentaho and SQL. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related areas Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years with Talent or HR data warehouse and BI solutions At least 1 Large scale implementation projects using Pentaho Data Integration.
