*Role : Sr. AEM Developer*
*Irvine, CA** and Milpitas, CA*
*Key Functions of the role include the following:*
- Hands on technical role; contributes to all phases of the software
development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, and QA
- Works with stakeholders to understand and document software
requirements, and ensure application meets functional requirements
- Develops functional prototypes from wireframes and mockups, and create
proper documentation
- Develops websites, performs unit testing, implementation, and
production application support
- Participates in troubleshooting problems related to user interaction &
webpage performance
- Collaborates with stakeholders and software engineers to refine and
improve the user experience
- Follows industry trends with regards to front-end and back-end
technologies and techniques
- Develop authoring templates and components for content editors
utilizing AEM platform to manage websites, using standards-compliant HTML5,
JavaScript and CSS3.
- Be a team evangelist for best practices around coding, usability,
security, performance of web pages
*Required Skills/Experience:*
- 7+ years of experience working on large-scale, complex web
applications using CQ5, AEM 6.2, AEM 6.3 (big plus)
- 7+ years of experience with HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3, especially use
within larger reusable frameworks
- 4+ years - Must have deep understanding of developing custom
components - not just developing content driven components. Components
should have been used for building applications
- Mobile web development and responsive web design experience
- Strong understanding of web page performance and security
- Demonstrated thought leadership around cutting edge technologies
- Strong understanding of object oriented development concepts and MVC
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
*Desired Skills/Experience:*
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Ability to take ownership of projects and multi-task
- Experience developing with the Bootstrap framework
- Experience developing on the Adobe Experience Manager platform
- Experience developing Sightly based components
- Experience developing Java backing class for CMS components
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology or similar training
- Experience with build processes including Bamboo and Maven
- Familiarity working in a Continuous Deployment pipeline
- Familiarity using Jenkins, Chef, Vagrant or other environment
automation tools
- Familiarity with issues around internationalization and localization
- Familiarity with Test Driven Development, and associated frameworks
(JUnit and Robot framework a plus).
