Please find below JD for *agile tester requirement*, position will be *based
out of Chigaco.*
*Location: On-site In Chicago, in office hours 8-5*
There will be client evaluation so person needs to be expressive in
communication and being able to work independently.
The Agile tester will work collaboratively as part of a co-located agile
project team, pairing with Product Owners, developers and other testers. This
individual must be innovative, self-motivated, a quick study, and willing
to develop new skills while constantly improving existing abilities. This
person must possess excellent oral and written communication skills,
communicate effectively with team members, and be able to work in a
fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate actively in agile planning meetings, stand-ups and user
story development and review
Interact with product owners, development and other testers to develop
a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives
Function as an integral part of the agile project team
Pair with the Product Owner to review user stories and design robust
acceptance criteria that includes alternate and negative test scenarios
Execute user story acceptance testing and review results with the
Product Owners, including testing of messages, data entries in database
using SQL developer, posting messages through solace queues, testing of the
UI, regression tests and capturing test evidence.
Analyze issues found during testing and collaborate with Product Owners
and developers to resolve them
Design integration tests for automation by the engineers
Support validation of automation tests
Create test data for use by the test automation suite
Involved in daily standup, Demo and Retrospective meetings.
Participate in non-functional test execution
Smoke test environment connectivity to other applications across all
test environments
Required Project and Technical Experience:
Experience working as part of an Agile development team (TDD, XP,
Scrum) doing daily test design and execution.
Experience pairing with Product Owners or developers and writing robust
user story acceptance criteria.
Experience working on Banking projects with knowledge of the trade
lifecycle.
Experience working with XML and JSON formats.
CI/CD experience a plus
Experience using XQuery and XML Spy
Experience using Hermes to work with Solace queues
Experience with Pivotal Tracker or Jira
Web services testing experience using POSTMAN
Other:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or
equivalent work experience in a related field
Location: On-site In Chicago, in office hours 8-5
Flexible to accommodate weekend work if required
