*UNIVERSAL Technologies is hiring for Sr. VMware Consultant for long term project in NY.* *Client: Fire Department of New York (FDNY)* *Billable Hours: 40/hours per Week* *Interview Type: In-Person interview follows by telephone round.* *Mandatory Skills:* - 9+ years of work experience in network/server administration. - In-depth *experience of VMware ESXi and VDI is required.* - In-depth knowledge of *Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016 operating systems is required.* - In-depth knowledge of *Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and 10 operating systems is required.* - In-depth knowledge of personal computers (PC) is required. - Working knowledge of *thin/zero client technologies such as Wyse, HP, etc., utilizing PCoIP and Extreme Blast protocols.* - Working knowledge of *network management systems such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, etc. * - Working knowledge of *Cisco infrastructure networking solutions.* - Working knowledge of *Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solutions.* - *Working knowledge of storage area network (SAN) technologies is a plus.* *Core Skills:* - Good verbal/written communication skills - Strong attention to detail - Ability to analyze and solve problems in a timely manner - Strong team player with the capability to work independently on projects *Education & Certifications:* - Bachelor’s or technical degree in computer science, information systems or other industry related curriculum. - Sufficient and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirements. - *VMware Certified Professional Desktop and Mobility certifications are preferred.* - *VMware Certified Professional Data Center Virtualization certifications are preferred.* - Microsoft Windows Server certifications are preferred. - CompTIA A+, Server+, Network+, Security+, etc. certifications are a plus.
