• Support design and *FEA analysis of various Gas Turbine and Combustion
Module components* (including hand calculations & spreadsheet analysis).
• Transient stress and life analyses including *LCF, fracture, creep and
thermal evaluations for blades, nozzles and shrouds*.
• *Aeromechanic* and *Heat Transfer analysis* utilizing modal cyclic
symmetry *MCS/Campbell/Goodman analysis*.
• Perform material change and cooling optimization trade studies as well as
modal validation using field testing results.
• *Rotor analysis* including *rotor gravity* *sag*,* 2D/3D *bolted joint
analysis and joint characterization of bolted joints
Experience (Years) 2-4
*Essential Skills *
• *Heat Transfer / FEA analysis* related to *turbomachinery* or *aircraft
engine components*.
*• Sound understanding of industrial gas turbine design and operation*.
• *ANSYS* and *UG/NX *skills are a prerequisite, including *ANSYS*
*Workbench* and *Classic*.
• Meshing capabilities are required in one or more of: *ANSYS*, *UG
Advanced Simulation*, or *Hypermesh* *Mandate* *Export* *control*
*Desirable Skills* Excellent communication skill (verbal and writing),
